F1 Singapore Grand Prix

woots!!

this week has really been exciting!:)

did a closing like officially on my own. a little forgetful on some things but i did it in time. :)

met the besties and had a treat from min! love the two darlings.

went for geraldine's 21st and bumped into my dad's childhood friend. someone whom i know by name. like quite cool.

had cell group. a change confirmed. it's so long to E256. :( hello to N194. a good change. that's what everyone's saying.

treated lijia to a movie. (for his bday) we watched connected. i think it's not bad. :) next is mama-mia with the besties! :)

and i went for the F1 race! like on the 2nd day. it's was slightly boring near the end cuz the drivers were like competing for qualifying only. saw ALOT of branded cars and was quite an experience. Thank God that my cousin remembered me cuz she had 4 tix from her aunt from the other side of the family. so i went with her, her sis and her boyfriend. woohoo!! so high! i was like telling everyone i wanted to go and kind of regretted not getting while i was offered the tickets while in my last company. but praise the Lord! when one door closes, he opens another! and i don't have to pay! and it was quite a good seat! haha!1st row and and great view! next to the flyer. and i think the organisers did a fantastic job! Singapore never looked any nicer! it's really beautiful and i love the sounds i heard throughout the nite!! reached home and ended the nite with a smile. a wide wide smile. :)

and i watched the finals at home with my brother. total adrenaline pump! haha! with our home amplifiers on and everything. (must have been slightly annoying to the neighbours) :P and know what?my brother went on the 1st nite to go take shots of the race and the few nice and clear shots is the winner himself!! :) total coincidence?haha!

and Alonso wins drama-filled Singapore GP

is like TOTALLY drama! 2 crashes. a fuel hose not being removed in time. Alonso's engine stalling at qualifying,placing him at the 15th position. both Ferraris to be out. haha! super drama! and the news reported that there will be more races to come in the next 4 years! woots! :D

Amazing Grace

WOW

it's been a super tiring weekend but i made it through and i feel quite accomplished. =)

going for everything on the calender and not missing a single thing. but i'm feeling exhausted. =X

from cell's pm to esther's chalet to ministry and then another pm after service then class on sunday morning then ah gong's bday gathering at my aunt's place and last but not least bear's bday celebration. ^-^

and having short naps whenever i can.

time to head to bed again for a whole week's of work. the monthly closing is here again~ haha~

Why?

Recently my mom's company changed the working hours. She now has to work 12 hours everyday but 4 days per week.

Meaning to say, she won't be able to cook dinner for the family on weekdays cuz by the time she reaches home and prepare everything, it's supper time aka time to sleep.
Being the earliest to end work, i reach home at about 6 if i leave on time. So it also means i have to be the one who cooks dinner for the family if i'm home for dinner. Yet another change. :x

I wonder why my life is SO filled with appointments. i'm getting the "i need time for myself" mentality quite often these days. am i really getting too physically tired? or am i not enjoying life enough?

Let's see...
just the schedule for the coming week and a half probably?
starting with...
Tomorrow - Work then cell group followed by Esther Foo's chalet.
Sat - Leave chalet for nursery followed by PM with Mich
Sun - Wkend classes followed by Ah gong's bday gathering
Mon - Work then class
Tues - Work then meeting up the besties and getting somemore presents
Wed - Work then class
Thurs - Work then Geraldine's 21st
Fri - Work then Cell (then maybe something on with the besties later at nite too)

really really tired. :(

What should I do? But i cant turn down any. it's all people that matters.

Every other day, there's either a typhoon or an earthquake, a plane crash or a terrorist attack. Deaths and more deaths.
Political issues all over the place.Protests here and there. Malaysia, Thailand and even the States.

What would you say about all these things happening around us?

Is revelation being carried out?

Ah Boy

This person here happens to be my younger brother.
His name is Theophilus Tay. i call him "ah boy" or "theo".
He is 4 years younger than me.

As much as i hate to admit. He's getting bigger now.
His interest is in photography and sound and he's starting to take up events in these areas and earning some income.
He just treated the family to dinner. :)

I have to say though he's the one that can really make me boil and get me really irritated, he does respect me and asks me for my opinions in certain things. (when i don't step on his tail too la~ haha! :P) and he can actually make me really angry also because i care for him. i mean why you one bother about a person you don't even care about? right?

anyway, this post is just to "praise" my brother.
i think he's a good boy and i'm proud of him and what's he's doing.

haha! i can't believe i typed this. though there's a super high probability that he won't get to see this.

I love him. haha! the rascal~ :P

well, the last one has got sentimental values definitely. it has served its purpose for about 3 yrs and 2 months. having like 450 posts. that "chapter" draws to a close and a new one begins. (thus explaining the new add.yups) but i leave that for just myself to read (anyway the multiply still has EVERYTHING).

i guess the 2nd part of 2008 was simply too "happening" for me to handle and thus i had a very bad attitude and a very dramatic side showing.

Let's see...
-Quit my job for a new one
-Decided to leave the new job (Miscommunication)
-Concentrated on the Exams (going for in between interviews)
-Had the exam
-Went for a short trip to Bintan
-Found a new job
-Started the new job
-Changes to cell and church service
-Nephew got hit by some stupid virus in the brain and was admitted to the ICU
-Failed the 1st 2 modules i took
-Continued classes
-quite a few 21st birthdays
-nephew being able to head home and recovering speedily
-one TW friend sms-ing me to inform me his wife has just safely gave birth
-Ministry leader getting married
-colleague going to get married

what a roller coaster don't you think?all in the span of like 2-3 months.

i guess my main concern and attention in the midst of all that was my nephew. and when the nephew's condition improved, i started to think about all the above and a little more(cuz i started taking notice of them). that's when i realised i had to do something about it and not just be emo about the whole thing.

met up with peien and the rest of the group. she said "I believe God is in control"
at cell, i shared with the old and new mates that the one thing we gotta do, really, is the stay close to the family that shares the same faith. we're running the race of faith with others. we're not alone.
also, our gift for peien(it's was her bday), was a disney puzzle piece of Pooh and friends lighting honey jugs at either the dawn or dusk(point being it's dark). and i explained that it's to remind us that we're the light and we continue to uphold each other in the midst of darkness (like how you help to light another candle when it gets blown out) and thus (back to the point) we gotta stay close to the correct group of people in the midst of difficult times.

with all this being said, internally i was thinking(again), ALOT. like what KC describes as battling inner battles.

I too believe that God is in control. Like what pastor always says, the only thing that remains the same in life is change.
mentioned by Ps Tan, in life, it's like us spinning plates. have you seen it before?

now, we don't just spin ONE plate at a time. it's many many plates at a time. When the plates start to be shaky, we have to spend a little more time and effort on it. we don't give up and let the plate crash onto the floor. maybe cuz we're greedy people. haha! :P

so yea, i've made some plans for 2009. may share more along the way. i'm looking forward. i'm staying positive. i wanna be spending time with people who respects and appreciates me giving my time to them. it's something which is of value to me. time is priceless.
