my life before the CNY
goodness!
i've rented a car with my dad for the festive season. and i've been driving and driving and driving.
first after work, headed to my ah ma's place where i met up with dad cuz he was driving the car. then we went to pick mom up from work before heading home to wash up and freshen up. then, i took over the wheels. drove to my ah ee's place and sent them to JP before i headed to samantha's place for the CG reunion dinner. After that, i gave a lift to Grace to Orchard to meet the 2/2 peeps for a movie. After the movie, gave a ride to fel and hui. reached home at about 3.30, washed up and wanted to head bed and realised i have a miss call from my brother! he just ended his work. left the house again without sleep to head to padang to pick him. gave his friend a lift and got a little lost. reached home near 6am and slept for 2 hours before heading to ICA to pick my passport with my mom, had breakfast with my parents, went to the cemetry then headed home. now, it's about 11am now. slept to 3pm. bathed and headed out again to send my brother to work. (my dad driving now) Then headed to Pioneer Mall's Giant to buy groceries. had guests in the house from like 6-7pm. cleared the hall then headed out again for more groceries shopping and dinner. and now my clock reads 10pm and i desperately need sleep. gotta probably wake up again at 4am to head to pick my brother. and tomorrow's reunion dinner already. ok. that's all for now. i need sleep.
Happy, Prosperous, Healthy and Blessed Chinese New Year you all! :)
Loves,
-me- =)

Mission Accomplished! :)
I managed to clear everything on the floor! making it look neater. but i've only touched like 85%. still got a small corner to cover. :) will do it in the evenings after work then :) feels so good to see a cleaner room and even better after a good scrub and shower! =p
another thing i managed to do is i played the guitar for cell this week!! thing was caleb(our cg guitarist) was sick. and they called me on thursday to ask me to 'standby'. i played only for the second half of praise and worship. Thank God for strength. near the end my fingers were hurting like crazy already. :( Thank you all for the encouragements! and thank you to Cheryl for bringing the guitar too! :) Jacq(my CGL) wants me to play again soon~ =x i'm scared in a sense but excited in another. we'll see where He leads. :)
i'll remember what bear shared about...
"God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called."
yups. indeed. :)
and in case you didnt know, Ps John Bevere came last weekend and i was really blessed by his sharing... up to now! the topic he was on is "Honor's rewards".
God has placed in us 3 levels of authority.
- People above us (our leaders, bosses, etc)
- Our Peers (people on the same level as us)
- Our Juniors (people younger than us, smaller in auhority)
has it ever incur to you that most of the time we only honor those above us? and not the 2 latter?especially the ones younger or lower in rank or status.
has it ever incur to you that by honoring these people, it's actually honoring God in a sense?
i have not really seen it that way. i mean to respect the boss is easy. respecting the authority above us is easy. but for people lower in status or even same in status as us. i always thought it was suppose to be neutral. like if you respect me, i'll do the same kind of thing. was alot of food for thought for me. amazing.
just thought i'll share this. ok. i'm tired from all the packing.
decided to update cuz i had to wait for my hair to dry. haha! :)
Cheerios~ :)

it's coming!
CNY is in a week!
everyone in the family is spring-cleaning their own territories. mine seem to be taking forever!! but i DID throw away loads of stuff already.
tip : if you have not touched something for one year already, chances are, you'll not touch it ever again.
that's really hard! i'm a sentimental person. i keep lots of junk.=X
goodness!
when will it end?!
=X
p.s: i hardly have space to walk in my room. everything's all over the floor. hahaa!=p

okies. this is the new look! still very curly cuz it's just done. but it should settle nicely when CNY comes! :)
i just had a meet up with the babes till early in the morning. feels as if we were back to secondary school. that special bond. :)
we chatted and laughed at some funny things that we did when we were younger! we all agreed that we had quite an exciting journey in secondary school and were proud to be from E2/2
haha! those days! great memories! :)

Memories & Resolutions
i was reading samantha's blog dated 5Jan2009. and i felt alot to that entry.
indeed much have happened and it taught us quite a bit to a certain extent.
Memories we live by make us who we are. let the sad things be gone and let the good things be remembered. that's how we grow up. so that we don't commit the same mistakes again and at the same time, have the wisdom to handle life as we grow up.
and now. for the resolutions of the year. shared with a few closer peeps already.here's some.
- Maintain and develop new, strong and lasting relationships with family and friends especially the new mates at cell group.
- Having perserverence in ACCA
- Walking close to my faith
- Somewhere along the line Mr. Right comes along (seems that this point is quite hot this year among my peers. haha! )
- My holiday in July will come to pass!
- Hopefully a car reaches my hands.
- Fulfiling the Building Fund
- Hoping to do one mission trip this year
- Getting my hands on the keyboard for at least 3 months this year.
Off-hand these are the ones i remembered. haha!=P
so......are you ready to ride with me for 2009? :)
oh oh!

Old?
i wonder if it's signs of aging or signs of wisdom.
i can't help by feel old when i see myself enjoying watching channel news asia and wanting to have a phone that i can just use to make calls and sms. =X instead of going after impressive specs, i go more for lasting functions.
anyways, i was surfing CNA's site and browsed to their anchors' blogs.
was at Steven Chia's and the more i read, i just really felt inspired. haha! :) click here
his latest post is about relationships. i quote...
"...You see, there is so much happening in our world everyday and it doesn’t stop happening. Work may be challenging but I think the most challenging role we all have -maintaining and building the relationships we have with others.
Whether it’s your family, your friends or your colleagues, it takes pure hard work to keep relationships strong. Each person is unique and will have different expectations from their relationship with you. And different things work for different people. And just when you think you’ve got it sorted out, they go ahead and change so what worked before doesn’t any more. So it’s a constant “job” and one that you have to keep working at all the time.
But I enjoy doing that. I find it fulfililng to interact with people and I think to a certain extent, I feed off them. Let me explain. When you are with people, you talk to them, you share your thoughts/ opinions with them, they give you feedback, they share their side of the story…along the way, there are happy, sad, funny moments. So when you think about it, during that 30 mins of coffee with your good friend, you’ve just been through a bit of a roller coaster ride. Some days you leave feeling happy and uplifted, some days you leave feeling a bit down, but you always leave with something that you’ve taken from that time with your friend. So on those days you leave a bit sadder, chances are your friend may be a bit happier. They confided in you, you gave them encouragement and they leave with hope that things will improve, you on the other hand, leave feeling a bit sad for your friend.
That’s how it works. Relationships are a give and take and that’s what makes the bond between us stronger. We grow with each other as we know more about each other and therefore we learn to care more for each other. To a certain extent, it’s like a job. But and a big BUT, the rewards are much, much better!..."
i think he's a smart and hot daddy. :)
