this is a random post. Was just checking out some F1 Rock videos and was looking at Beyonce's performances. Just love her voice and her charisma. Totally girl power. love the messages behind the songs she sing. From Listen, to Irreplaceable, to If I Were A Boy, to All The Single Ladies, to Halo...Of course, from the times she was in Destiny's Child...just fantastic songs.. :)AND her band is formed by ladies. how cool is that? haha. =p diva-licious :)

Madonna on MJ
Recently, many have been impressed with Madonna's tribute for MJ.
i think the nearly 10 minutes tribute to MJ just once again shows how amazing this man had been and for many; how saddening it is that he is gone.
indeed, humans do not treasure what they have unless they have lost it. and, we can be of the same age, but with very different background, causing differences in character.
if you've got the time, i highly recommend you go check out the videos of this year's VMA. quite drama. Lady Gaga put up such a entertaining performance. Kanye was just simply drunk and doing ridiculous things. Beyonce was such a diva. Janet Jackson tried her best but you would have to agree, no one can ever dance like MJ. haha. and Taylor Swift was really such a poor innocent party.
Go search on youtube or something. i'm lazy to embed the vids. =x haha.

Heartbreak increases heart attack risk
SYDNEY : People mourning the loss of a loved one are six times more likely to suffer cardiac arrest, potential proof that you can indeed die of a broken heart, Australian researchers said Tuesday. According to a Heart Foundation study of the physical changes suffered immediately after a profound loss, grieving people were at significantly higher risk of heart problems, said lead researcher Thomas Buckley. "We found higher blood pressure, increased heart rate and changes to immune system and clotting that would increase the risk of heart attack," Buckley said. Of the 160 people studied, half were mourning the loss of a partner or child, and their risk of heart attack increased six-fold, he said. The risk, which was evident in people as young as 30, reduced after six months and levelled out after two years, he added. A sudden flood of stress hormones is believed to be behind the grief-induced heartache, a condition that earlier studies have found is more likely to affect women.

in life, man disappoints. that's just a fact. How a person handles these disappointments simply show the character of that person. what would you do when a person makes you upset? ignore them?
confront them?
bad-mouth them?
treat as nothing has happened?
i've been disappointed by some, and i believe i have also disappointed some.
all i'm trying to say is, silence doesn't mean your actions are approved and whining doesn't mean you're right. who are we to judge anyway? it just irritates the heck out of you right? no one is perfect in this whole, just as the person who is irritating you has flaws, so have you.
so...the next time, when all you can think about is your own feelings, and how the person has offended you, think about who you're offending/upsetting/disappointing in that same second.

sometimes, not acting is just giving you time and space to think about your actions and hopefully you can grow up. just as the lyrics in the songs states. :)

buzz buzz buzz
this week has really been busy aka hectic. =x
started with bday celebrations for Clarence & Henry together with Kaili & Joanna. a simple affair :) truly enjoyable. :)
had a meet-up with bestie ying on wednesday night. had a lovely time together. catching up and just simply LOL-ing at ION :)

then! on thursday night, was involved in a secret plan. haha! and it was a success! can't disclose too much yet cuz not many people knows. haha. :) but it was a YES! :)
and on friday, had to help out to play for cell. a stretch. didnt really do very well. i know. but thank God it went all the way to the end. :) and got to know that my cell group leader is getting married too! haha! she said yes too! haha!

when things get too routined...
1 Corinthians 13 (The Message)
1 If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.
2If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing.
3-7If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.

Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,

sometimes, things get too routined, a person becomes quick tempered, impatient, simply unloving.
and i was reminded of this passage. was reading it in different translations and i thought this version was lovely.
be reminded of why you do what you do from the beginning.
sacrificial love. wonderful and amazing thing.
