There will be a day

Jeremy Camp - There Will Be A Day
From the album Speaking Louder Than Before

I try to hold on to this world with everything I have
But I feel the weight of what it brings, and the hurt that trys to grab
The many trials that seem to never end, His word declares this truth,
that we will enter in this rest with wonders anew

But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering

(Chorus)
There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place, will be no more, we'll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we'll hold on to you always

I know the journey seems so long
You feel you’re walking on your own
But there has never been a step
Where you’ve walked out all alone

(Chorus)

Troubled soul don’t lose your heart
Cause joy and peace he brings
And the beauty that’s in store
Outweighs the hurt of life’s sting

I can’t wait until that day where the very one I’ve lived for always will wipe away the sorrow that I’ve faced
To touch the scars that rescued me from a life of shame and misery this is why this is why I sing

Love Happens

Love Happens

Gonna pen these before what i remember fades away. haha :)

It started with......

Chapter one...
sometimes, in your best efforts in life, life will still give you lemons.
Either you can be sour about it or you can make lemonade. :)

this is not the first time i heard this quote but it's still quite cool to hear it again.

then it goes about telling about the male lead, (Aaron Eckhart) kind of inspiring people to accept the loss their loved ones after he himself having to experience the loss of his wife.
As he helped people walk out of their fears(noble act), he himself is actually stuck in it and is in an emotional mess.
Here comes the female lead (Jennifer Aniston)(I so LURVE her eyes!), helping him to walk out of the "darkness" that he's in(about accepting his wife's death). won't go on to spoil the movie for you, but i was a little inspired after watching it. :)

one more quote,
"In funerals/deaths, we don't see that a life has ended but more of a life was being lived."
*wow!*

Think i could relate to it rather well, like how i would speak my mind when i feel that my opinions are needed to get across. =x
and how sometimes, we always don't really practice what we preach. =x
and sometimes, we simply think too much on others' behalf. totally...UNNECESSARY. =X

SO... yea, catch it if you can :)

Oh ya! i love it when all the long and complicated vocabulary comes out too. it's SO cool! didnt manage to remember it though =x
oh! and i think the ladies should learn that handicap stunt. haha! =p

and it ended with...
When we are on a holiday, we should always note, when something ends, another thing begins. :)

heard this song in the movie and loved the lyrics.

all in all, if you thought this was another chick flick, it was actually quite inspiring and touching :)
took this quiz on their site and got this result. haha =p

love happens movie quiz badge

I'm feeling okay! How are you?!
A OKAY!

hahahha :)

What Faith Can Do - Kutless

What Faith Can Do
Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it’s more than you can take
But you are stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
It’ll be alright
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

Overcome the odds
You don't have a chance
(That’s what faith can do)
When the world says you can’t
It’ll tell you that you can!

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
That's what faith can do!
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise

this is a lovely song! just heard it online. :)

What to do?

As i tweeted, i took the day off today...
ran a few personal errands, was on the train, on the way to town, listening to my iPod, i asked my DADDY a question.

HE replied...

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. —Matthew 5:16

this part above is for me. :)

I have a good Daddy in Heaven.

was with the besties yesterday and we were just randomly talking. mentioning if God was fair cuz we were people-seeing and became slightly 'envious' of some people.
M: God's not fair but He is just.
Y: If everyone thinks God is not fair, then He is?
T: God's fair, i'm sure that person has a flaw somewhere.

haha. what do you think? :)

Finally all 22! :)

XOXO!!

Music is my life...

Recently, am really addicted to Pixie Lott's album. LOVE the songs. :)
fav. track in the album.

Another singer i like..方大同...

When We Believe

Many nights we've prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song
We barely understood
Now we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear

We were moving mountains long
Before we knew we could

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe

In this time of fear
When prayers so often prove(s) in vain

Hope seems like the summer birds
Too swiftly flown away
Yet now I'm standing here
My heart's so full I can't explain
Seeking faith and speaking words
I never thought I'd say

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe

They don't (always happen) when you ask(Oh)
And it's easy to give in to your fears(Oh...Ohhhh)
But when you're blinded by your pain
Can't see your way straight throught the rain
(A small but )still resilient voice
Says (hope is very near)(Ohhh)

There can be miracles(Miracles)
When you believe(Lord, when you believe)
Though hope is frail(Though hope is frail)
It's hard to kill(Hard to kill, Ohhh)
Who knows what miracles, you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will(somehow, somehow, somehow)
somehow you will
You will when you believe
You will when you
You will when you believe
Just believe...in your heart
Just believe
You will when you believe~

Food, Food and more food!

Recently, I have been meeting people for breakfast rather than suppers. am i getting old or what? haha!
First, meet up with my dearest besties. YA KUN! :) look at the way we handle our eggs. 3 very different individuals. haha! Also the day i got my iPhone. haha :) Then, met bear for breakfast at Swensens for her bday and also to have our long awaited 'personal' catch-up. haha :)
then, fell sick out of the blue. no warning. no flu. no cough. just high fever. like wth? so cooked myself healthy, home-cooked food :)then, had dinner on one of the nights at Ding Tai Feng with my family. :)
then, met up with my dearest cousin on friday, went Centrepoint, then OrchardCentral, then dinner at Heeren at Waraku (forgot to take pics, we were too hungry after all that walking). After food we were 'charged', so we proceeded to Ion. haha. bought some things at this place called UNIQLO. super reasonable priced! burnt a small hole in the pocket. haha. =p but walked out happy :)Just this morning, brought my aunt for breakfast at Crystal Jade with my family cuz her bday's coming. Forgot to take pics again cuz as soon as the food came...we...'attacked!' hahaha! anyway, the egg tarts there are really nice! you should try. taste a little like the ones i had in macau.

then we were just zoom-ing from one place to another.

We had to first head to my uncle's place (mom's bro), he needed help for some shifting of furnitures. His neighbour was shifting out, so they gave him some furnitures. It was really nice looking furnitures lor! super comfy sofa! Then brought my aunt home. then headed home for awhile to get a little rest (like 20 minutes). My dad grabbed his tools then we proceeded to Sengkang. Grabbed a quick lunch at Mac. I tried the Koko-crunch Mcflurry!! yummy! :) haha. :) cuz i hearts koko-crunch. =p
then went to my other aunt's (dad's sis) place to help her with a leaking pipe in the toilet. haha! I know. felt like we're like the incredibles family. haha! for just a moment. while waiting for my dad and bro, looked around my aunt's place. saw a photo that i have not seen before!
this is from don't know which age laa~ haha!

so yea, once that was done, my turn to take the wheel. cuz my dad was quite tired by then already. reached home at almost 5 and i zombied-off to lala land almost immediately. =x
so that's about it for now.

God bless! :)

oh ya! when i was at my uncle's place, my cousins showed me this korean variety show called '1 Night, 2 Days.' it was hilarious! and i saw this guy that i thought was quite good looking. hur hur ^-^ His name's Lee Seung Ki. :)
ok.
tabs out! :)

Communication.Parents.Life

Recently, have been thinking about some things. Shared with a couple of closer peeps. Decided it was time to tell the parents about it. So on a random night, i told my parents over dinner. Their response hit me. like it was kind of an objection.
That night, i couldn't really sleep. =(
It's kind of the first time my parents actually was 'against' my idea. Then i realised how important my parents' approval was to me in all decisions in my life. So far, i treat all decisions (big or small) i make rather seriously.
The next day, when my dad picked me after work to head home together, he asked me again about my decision. Then i explained myself, where i was heading, why i decided, choices available; etc. Then he understood. That night, he told my mom 'She wants XXX, just let her try.' So, i can see that mommy's worried and scared like for me. But she agreed that I should just give it a shot.
and i slept that night, soundly and smiling :)

What i'm trying to say is, i feel that communication with your parents are very important. and sometimes when they just don't understand, give them some time, then try again. i mean, they're young once, they should know where we're coming from. i always encourage my friends (when they share things with me) to inform their parents about life's decisions. and i know, every family has their story to tell, not all's the same, but with parents' support in the things that you do, it really encourages and holds you. Even if sometimes, they really know that it's a decision wrongly made, lessons are learnt. whether it's a good decision or a bad decision. that's the most important ain't it? :) i must remember this when i have my own kids to tend to. :)

cheers :)

When we as God’s children are living in faith, we can have an exciting expectancy and a quiet confidence that God will give us exactly what we need, when we need it (Matt. 7:8-11).
— Cindy Hess Kasper

When with expectancy we pray
According to God’s will,
We’ll see Him working in our lives
His purpose to fulfill.
