me-day...

today was a me-day! :)

occassionally, i like these me-days where i can just do the things i wanna do and not think about other things.

my mom is away this weekend. she's on a company trip with everyone else at Bintan. *jealous!*

so anyways, i woke up this morning, feeling less sleep-deprived.

then i caught up with my US-serials.

my brother went down to buy us both brunch, then he headed out to work.

i decided to vacuum the house a little, following that, decided to clean up my desktop (on lappy). saved and backed-up all the shows and music etc like finally!

re-watched some movies (like keep fast-forwarding kind).

then my dad came home from work. he went to the kitchen to snack on some crackers. (hinting me that he's hungry, and i pretty much guessed he did not take lunch and is starving. )

so, i went to cook up dinner for everyone. asked my dad to dig in first cuz he was obviously very hungry. then took a shower cuz i stink after all the cooking.

brother came back from work with his girlfriend. they ate. i ate later.

watched tv for awhile. and now. i'm blogging with a cup of chamomile tea next to me with my itunes playing in the background.

ooooh. feeling a little tired but blissful. little things of life.

think i'm ready for bed anytime soon.

will do a little reading before i snooze off. cheerios! :)

the oldest student this year was above 80 years old! how cool is that?!

it's been a week or two of posting songs with much positivity :)
work is getting much better. thank you for all who showered love and concern. :)
work organisation is gonna be experiencing a HUGE structure change. have no idea how that is gonna affect me. i will only make decisions in january. :) cuz it's kinda pointless to think about it now. :)

right now, i'm only extremely excited for my coming holly and spending a week with my besties in 6 weeks! woots! XD

hmm, have been reading up on 1 timothy. loads of personal reflections. things that i could have handled better (i feel). all in good time :) well, everytime you feel you have learned everything, you get hit with something new that makes you reconsider that 'arrogance'.

well, now that work is getting better or i am getting used to the load. it's time to meet up and catch up with people :)

i leave you with something that Ps Tan preached at service today.

the plot is about after Jesus' resurrection, his disciples' responses.
they didn't believe till they saw.

Seeing and Believing

24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.”
So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!”
27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

That You May Believe

30 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

how do you think Jesus felt when His disciples didn't believe that He has resurrected on the third day? till they saw him. and Thomas, who was the last to witness even wanted to touch and feel Him before he knew clearly, that He has resurrected.

hmmm, i just find that really sad. after spending three years in ministry with them. they still didnt understand.

apply it to our daily lives. sometimes, we really don't understand the things we have to go through, the crap and nonsense. you don't wanna believe that you have to take those rubbish. in due time, you will realise why. really. :)
don't ask "why you", ask "how is it gonna help you become a better/useful/contributing person." cuz usually when you ask "why", it makes a person more depressed than encouraged. right? ;)
we often stubbornly want to know answers immediately.
maybe it's time to just let nature take its course. you will find and get the answer when you're ready for it. :) have you ever considered if you knew all answers in advance, you never know the potential you possess. things that amazes yourself at the end of the day ;)

ok. think it's getting jumbled up. just typing out my train of thoughts.
i'll go now.
